Norwich Environmental Weekenders (NEWS) meets on Sundays to carry out valuable conservation work on some of the most important and attractive nature reserves in Norfolk. Management work is undertaken in the wetlands, woodlands, heathlands, grasslands and coastal area of Norfolk. Throughout the year we are involved in various practical tasks ranging from scrub cutting and pond clearance to fence construction. Our leaders provide guidance on the safe use of tools so you don’t have to be experienced to join in and enjoy the work. A walk around each site allows you to see some of its wildlife and enables the leader to explain the work we are doing.

Please check in advance if you wish to book a space on the minibus leaving from Norwich. You can of course make your  way to tasks independently, please contact us for directions.
