Tree Wardens across Havant Borough have been involved in many projects including tree planting, festivals, tree trails, tree hunts, discussions, courses, talks and local development consultations.
- Plant trees and hedges and help to maintain them
- Review planning applications for threats to trees
- Survey trees
In 2012 we successfully applied for funding to plant over 5,000 trees throughout the Borough.
We have also published booklets on local trees and lead tree walks.
The booklet is available for £4 from Hayling Island Community Centre, Station Road, PO11 0HB (next to the park) or £5 by post. Please use the Contact form to request a copy.
Typical training courses may cover topics such as Summer and Winter Tree Identification, Tree Planting and Aftercare, Woodland Management, Hedge-Laying, Surveying Woodland, Recording Veteran Trees, Tree Preservation Orders, and Trees and Development.
