Some damage to trees has been seen recently following routine mowing and strimming of grass. If you see any recent damage to trees, please let us know with details of the location, date seen and type of tree, if known. Please also take a photograph of the damage and the tree, if possible, to help with identification.
These trees are opposite the Barley Mow on Hayling Island.
Serious or repeated damage from strimming can kill the tree by removing the bark all the way around it. These photos from Purbrook illustrate the point.
